Visit Fort Zoutman, the oldest building on the island, located in Oranjestad, and enjoy our famous Bon Bini Festival, a weekly local folkloric music and dance festival where you can catch the flavor of the island, its people, music, cuisine and hospitality. "Bon bini" means "Welcome" in Papiamento, and that is the perfect word to describe the enthusiastic environment of this festival. The festival takes place every Tuesday from 7:00-9:00 p.m.

if you're staying at the renaissance ocean suites, you can walk, drink in hand, one block to the parade route. no bands. just vehicles with boom-box island music and people dancing down the street. Free entertainment and no one cares if you drink and dance in public.

Liked it. Gave a charming overview about the local culture instead of Wendy's or MCDonald's...

Searched for this festival for over an hour and never found it. Don't waste your time or gas!

  • Bon Bini Festival

nice overview of aruba history. you sit on a chair and watch a story teller, dance and music on stage. 4 crafts shops ( bracelets, small paintings) and one place to buy traditional food. It's a good place to learn about aruba, not to experience aruba (festival on thursday in San Nicolas is a better experience)

This Festival although small is wonderful. Local customs, food and history are featured. Very resonantly priced for the whole family. I recommend this to any first time visitor.

    Excellent time!

  • Bon Bini Festival

    complete waste of time!

  • Bon Bini Festival

Cheesy small. Maybe a nice effort, but comes off like a church fundraiser or something. Definitely not worth the $24 round-trip cab ride. And there's nothing to do at that time of night in sleepy Oranjestad on a weeknight in the low season.

  • Bon Bini Festival

Realmente es malo. Puede ser mucho mejor, es absolutamente pueblerino. Pueden mostrar la cultura de la Isla de una manera más atractiva y profesional! Tienen una inmensidad de formas para hacerlo ameno
