This cunucu house has the best keshi jena and the service is excellent. You ne d to visit this restaurant it's like 8 min. Walking from the high rise hotel. Try keshi jena. Delicious!!!!

We liked the restaurant very much. The ambiance was nice. We enjoyed the fried goat cheese appetizer. I had the best grouper fillet ever!!!! While my husband enjoyed the shrimp he would have loved a few more on the plate ( he thought they were also too small). The vegetables with rice were perfect. I strongly recommend this restaurant. Service was great.

Good local food and very nice atmosphere. Staff was very attentive and service was at a nice pace.

  • The Old Cunucu House

We waited for a long time after being seated then we finally headed to the bar because we figured we'd be more visible there. The service was still quite slow but they were obviously busy and understaffed so I only took off one star. The food was good. Not very flavorful but I'm sure most tourists don't like spicy things. We have the same problem in New England, where we're from, so I don't hold that against them.

Great food and a nice place to see!

  • The Old Cunucu House

Sorry to say but we was disappointed. Service was extremly low with an non Service minded waiter. Food okey we had fillet which was good but the rest was not okey. A poor sick dog running around our feet begging for food. Really sad to see and no response from waiter (it's not our dog!) Well we expected a romantic dinner but stay away if this is what you want.

Jasmin, our server, was the best! She really took care of us! Food and the experience was awesome. Everything is fresh! Had the whole red snapper, iguana soup, AND coffee!

  • The Old Cunucu House

Really good food, ambiance and service. Really happy to find this historic, romantic island gem tuck away among residential homes. A must visit when in Aruba. A definite 5 star on island standards for authentic local and alfresco dinning.

  • The Old Cunucu House

We loved it. Wonderful atmosphere and great service. Will definitely visit again when we return.

  • The Old Cunucu House

Whether you prefer, like us, to go off-the-beaten-path or not, you should make a visit to The Old Cunucu House for lunch, dinner, or both. Tucked away in a neighborhood in the "high rise" area, the atmosphere is upscale-chill and the food is fresh, prepared with skill and care. Our group enjoyed the whole red snapper, stewed goat, garlic shrimp, and keeshi yena (a local treat that we're going to TRY to replicate back home). There's something for EVERYONE on the menu - even a picky young teenager who insisted on chicken fingers and fries.

  • The Old Cunucu House

Outstanding local cuisine and service. Don't miss this place for lunch or dinner seven days a week.

  • The Old Cunucu House

Haven't been there in years. Went back this year and it was great.

  • The Old Cunucu House

Excellent authentic Aruban cuisine. Hidden gem on the island. Worth going out of the way for this food. Corey, Jasmine and Ismael made us feel like family and it was amazing sitting outdoors and enjoying the music, drinks and food with my wife with this full Aruban ambiance. We will def be back! 5 stars all the way!!! Thanks guys! -Hems and Reens

“An old favorite” This charming restaurant is off the beaten path, which is wonderful for those who know it. For those who don't, it's worth looking for. New manager Corey will try to make it easier for you to find. We try to get there at least once each year on our annual visit to Aruba. The pumpkin soup and keeshi yena are particular favorites. “A forgotten treasure” We had not been to the Old Cunucu House for many years. It has changed hands a few times from the original and we had not heard much about it. We arrived and it was not busy at all and we were a little concerned. Not to worry!!! The service was great and the food was delicious. The grouper was as good as any we have had at Wacky Wahoo. This restaurant deserves another look by visitors who have forgotten it. Very quaint and a good value. Visited February 2014
